I had heard so many good things about Watts regulators, I thought I'd try one as the brass and stainless steel models do reduce pressure, but they restrict the flow too much.

I bought the Watts H560G, and it has a significantly higher flow rate than the common inline models. It's adjustable up to 60 PSI and I have it set for 55 PSI.

It's definitely worth the price.

We got one at the start of last season. It sure came in handy when we were at a CG with 120 psi water pressure. Although, while flushing the hose prior to hooking it up to the coach, it was hilarious to see the water stream shoot 3 sites over! We coulda pressure washed the coach while there, had we thought of it.

The one you pictured does reduce pressure, but it does a better job or restricting flow. You need to check with Home Depot or Lowes for a Whole House Regulator. The little one will have your interior flow at a trickle.

TXiceman,

I have used the one pictured for three years and I believe it is the handiest. Flow is not a problem.

I've had mine for a few years... only thing I don't like is the gauge seems to rust after a year or so & no longer gives a reading. I've been thru 2 gauges & now I don't even bother with one.

Eh!

I have the whole house one. It's bulky, but it works fine.

Oh, and who ever found the one I left at a campground, Merry Christmas.

Wayne,

You ain't alone. I donated mine at a CG outside of Kingman, AZ, about 6 weeks ago. Gotta love those senior moments.

It was a great tool and will be replace when we hit Quartzsite. Hope to get a good buy there on a new unit.

We have the whole house version like this one Amazon.com: Watts Regulator N55BDUS-M1 3/4" (0007603): Home Improvement installed in our coach and it give excellent flow. I suspect that the one you listed above does as well. The whole house version does not protect the hose so when we are in high pressure campgrounds we usually just fill our tanks and run off the water pumps. I have left to many parts and pieces behind so I like not having to worry about leaving a $70 regulator hooked up to their water pole.

Bill,
That's the one I have. It takes two hands to lift it to the faucet. I also connect it to one leg of a 4 way valve, although I really only need two.

Now, I really got smart about not leaving it behind. I put it on Earlene's check list. Now if it's left behind it's her fault, just like the first time.

I too did what powerboatr did. Picked up everything I needed up at Lowes and put it together. Left the regulator set at factory. I also installed two gauges instead of one. One on the inlet side and one on the outlet side.
Works well for me and I notice no flow restriction.
I keep one of the inline hosejobs handy for an emergency!

RovinOn

I use two pressure regulators.. A Watts on the park faucet set to 60 PSI which I brought in last night cause.. IT FROZE OUT THERE.

And a Sure-Flo I got on the deep discount table at General RV at the inlet to the motor home. it's a 45PSI device. This is the same as the "inlet/regulator" combination only they put a hose fitting on the outlet and left off the collar

That way the filter is protected from overpressure (It will survive 80 psi) and the hose... and the filter does not slow water flow too much.
