After having used this "Fire and Ice" grill for several years, I'm looking for something new and improved...
I've had my eyes on the "Q", and would like to hear your thoughts and suggestions....Even if it's recommending something else. The "Q" has a griddle attachment which is important for those breakfasts under the awnings...
A cooler is no longer needed as I have the Norcold fridge/freezer in the slide out tray.

We have the Weber Q and love it. It cooks well, cleans up and stores easily.
Take care.

We have the Baby Q. We don't use the small screw on propane tanks. Patty bought me two 1 gallon or 1.5 gallon tanks, and I use a hose to connect. It's great and cooks fairly even. The new Baby Q now has trays like the Q too!

Don't have the griddle yet, but we will in the near future. I'm sure it would be great because as said it seems to cook evenly and not "too hot" like so many grills do.
Take care.

We bought a Baby Q last year and it is very good for a small bbq. It has a rolling card and folds very easily for storage.
We have connected it with a quick connect to our LP tank on the MH, but I prefer a larger tank so we can put it further from the MH, which is what we usually do.

I was interested in the Q so I went to the Weber website. I was amazed at the total lack of available information. No BTU rating, no cooking area information, no weight information, no storage size information, nothing but photos. Why would a manufacturer give so little information?

I bought the Coleman Road Trip grill. I run it off a hose line I ran from the LP tank on my motorhome. It too has both griddles and grills, dual burners, flip down lid, etc and it all folds up into a super-flat compact package. In no time at all I can pop out the legs and side tables and have a nice full height grill or I can set it on a table and use it that way. It does a good job of cooking.
However, the grates and griddles are aluminum but they are covered with some sort of non-stick coating. This means that you can't use any SOS pads or even brass bristle brushes to clean them. I've found that they seem to be magnets for baked on dirt. If I use "approved" cleaning methods they'll never get clean. So the coating is pretty much disappeared now. The other big thing is that this thing is hard to clean. It takes forever to clean everything up. If I'm in bear country this grill just doesn't get used or else I'll have visitors in the night (been there, had that, don't want it again ).
I'd say it's the greatest grill around if you bring a butler but I'm thinking I need to find something more "user-friendly" in the cleanup area. I've always liked Weber products (they're made just up the road from us) so I might just take a look at the Q grills, after all they've got my name (okay, initials maybe) on them.

WOW....thanks for the replies....even Mr. "Q" himself!!
Another question.....While I will probably use the hose, does the big "Q" use the green squatty bottles or the long skinny ones? (blue I think??)

First trip out with my brand spanking new "Q" and I cooked burgers last night for our mini-rally here in Staunton,VA.
I LOVE IT!!
I bought the model with the thermostat on the lid and it's really nice to see the temp when warming up and then cooking with the lid down.
I'll be dumping the "Fire and Ice" now that I've found success with the Weber....
I also have seen the "Road Trip" in action and it's a nice grill, but I like the more compact nature of the Weber Q...

Got out my new Baby Q to try out at home and found out that it needs the skinny bottles. I only had the larger ones, so I ended up taking off the support bracket. It worked fine, but I worry about putting stress on the hose and regulator.
