Since my previous post I have a new #1... a residential fridge. No more constant looking at the fridge temp gauges to check the freezer and fridge. Actually, I do still look at them when I walk by, but I smile every time and don't have to do anything other than think about the next cold item that I will be consuming. Oh, and boondocking is no issue either. Just returned from 5 days in the mountains and we only ran the genny a total of 3 hours the entire time and that was due to the fact that it was high 30's to low 40's in the morning and ran the heat.
I know that most of you absorption fridge advocates are sick of hearing the residential fridge folks go on about it, but if you are coping with your Norcold or Dometic fridge and not loving it, don't sweat the conversion it will become your "best" purchase too.

Can you share with us how much solar you have, and the size of your battery system?

I upgraded my batt bank last year to 4 Lifeline 6V GPL-4CT which are 220 AHR giving me 440 AHR capacity. Interestingly, I have not yet invested in upgrading the solar and just have the original factory 80 watt panel. So how is this possible? First, we do not watch TV and other than lights (all LED, heat-AquaHot diesel and the fridge) we don't use much power. Second, we have lots of sunshine and I am normally camping at 8-10,000' above sea level, perfect solar panel conditions.
I do plan to upgrade my solar in the future just can't buy everything the heart desires, need to have full buy in from the wallet.

We bought a new spring mattress for our TT from Denver Mattress. the foam mattress was WAY too soft. It is a short queen, and I think it was about $300. It is the most comfortable bed we have...house included.

Thanks MandG-Fun that's great that you can boon dock with your new fridge. Maybe we don't need as much solar as I thought I might need. I am sure the 4 batteries are a big help.

The Extend-a-shower. I Love It.
Extend-A-Shower Expanding Shower Rod - Satin Finish
Folds in for stowing and out for showering, provides a ton of room and makes the RV seem so much more comfortable. Yeah we got the oxygenetics shower head, but to me the shower head is useless with out room to shower. JUST SAYING. Since this is new to us we have bought a number of items, my fovorite is the State Map, (Yeah I Know It's A Goober Option) I just had to have it.....
I Love Reading What Some Of Ya Have Bought, God I Love iRV2!!! So many "GREAT" ideas...
Now We Just Have To Get Busy Logging Road Miles... Oh Hon I think we need a ice machine, Oh and a Duma-flatchie that is just so cool I don't know what it does, but I want It...
Hope All Are Having A Great Day...
