Prior to going to Florida I purchased the Prompt Windshield Cover and having used it extensively for almost 3 months here is my evaluation of the product.

.easy to install
.easy to store
.reduces solar heat coming thru
windshield
. not affected by high winds
. provides privacy
In general, it works as designed without any holes drilled into the MH. The only negative note is that it is a bit pricey. I highly recommend the product.

I also have the Prompt screens. My only problem is they tend to get an imprint from the hardware when rolled up for storage. I use foam pipe insulation to roll the screens onto. Anyone have a better method?
I could remove the hardware before rolling them up but that would be a bit of a hassle.

Hey, Captain Bud!

Long time no see. Guess I haven't been looking much lately. When are ya'll going to pay the Florida Boomers a visit? You know our 5th Anniversary Rally is coming up in a couple of weeks. Ya'll come on down, ya heah?

OK Back to windshield coverings. I have been looking for the AXIUS brand Twist RV Shades. They make them for cars, kind of silky fabric, with wire inside. You can twist and fold them to a circular and manageable size and they store flat.

One of our RV buddies, has them for their MH and purchased them at Camping World for $19 a couple of years ago.

They no longer carry them. I have been "surfing" like crazy with no luck. Any chance ya'll have seen them somewhere? They are so convenient. Lightweight and quick to use and store.

Take care and come join the Florida Boomers for some of our rallies.

Cheri

I have a pair of large Class A windshield shades I bought a few years ago so I know exactly what you're talking about.

The next best thing is to get a "Prompt Sunscreen" . You never have to leave the ground to put it on, it cuts the heat considerably and there are no snaps or drilling required.

I believe they are in Winterhaven so they probably aren't too far from where you live.

Hi Cheri, Sorry we missed you guys during this year's Florida trip. Regarding the sun screen , I know what you are talking about, however, I don't know where to get them. I personally would purchase the exterior screen if I were you, I think it does a better job in reducing heat. BTW how do you like your new coach, and where in the world do you store all your Flamingoes????? Bud

Hey, Capt Bud and DRIVER:

Thanks for your responses. I like the looks and ease of operation on the PROMPT SUNSHADE! Now, I'll just have to hold out on a few trips to Wal-Mart so I can afford to buy one.

The thought of drilling holes for snaps etc. in the side of our coach is not very appealing. I think this is the SUNSHADE is the answer.

Sorry we missed your visit to Florida Capt. Will look forward to seeing you and your dogs "Salt" and "Pepper" next time.

We are so happy to be back with the Florida Boomers! One of the conditions from Ron is "No more Flamingos" all over the place. That was an easy one for me. I have a single Flamingo inside but nothing flapping in the wind outside.

Hey, DRIVER, how come you and Colleen didn't come visit us while we were at Manatee Hammock? You missed two delicious breakfast meals and a "more than anyone could eat" Potluck on Saturday. Hope you'll join us next time. How about at the 5th Anniversary of the Florida Boomers rally beginning on April 14th? How about you, Captain?

Ya'll take care, and we'll see ya soon.

Cheri

We absolutely appreciate the warm reception that we received from the Florida Boomers at Rock Crusher and we will look forward to camping with the Boomers in the very near future.

On the 14th we will be at the Texas Motor Speedway looking for my ear plugs because it's true, race cars are very loud BUT they're supposed to be!

Take care. Colleen and I send our very best regards to all the Florida Boomers.

OH, poor babies! Probably just as well you didn't come, especially since Friday was CHILI NIGHT!

Well, you know you are always welcome to join us. Hopefully, it won't be to far into the distant future.

Blessings,
Cheri
