Anyone tried using less expensive blades other than Tru Vision? I tried a set of 28" blades from Walmart and they came apart due to the sun in about 3-4 months. Get what you pay for I guess.

I get my 26" blades at Walmart - they carry several nationally known brands. Rain-X, Michelin, and others. I don't buy the cheapest, for car or RV. Wipers are too important t safety to go cheap.

I use either Trico or Anco and change annually. Out in the sun/weather about a year is about the life of any brand blade

I bought a pair of Bosch 28" wipers at $19 each. Cheaper than TruVision, we'll see if they last longer than 3 or 4 months. I agree with Gary, cheap is not the best way to go. And RVhauler is probably right too regarding sun here in AZ. Thanks for your input. I should point out I did not buy my previous set from Walmart as I stated. I got them from Auto Zone.

I live in TX where the climate vairies a great deal. I use Rain-X wipers on my TV and Rain-X fluid in the washer. I've used the cheaper blades in the past and belive the Rain-X are much better.

I use a couple of pieces of pipe insulating foam cut to length that I put on the blades when parked. I also use a couple of pieces of Styrofoam under the arms to keep the blades off the windshield so they don't take a set.

I still have the original blades on my coach (2004 model) and they still work great.

I use the insulating foam that is slit along the length and does not have sticky edges.

That foam on the blades is an excellent idea. I just replaced my water heater in my home and it came with 2 lengths of foam if needed. I didn't need them so now I found a great place to use them. I park my RV outside and the AZ sun can do a number on rubber. Thanks Clay L.
