Winegard Automatic Portable Satellite TV Antenna

Just installed the Winegard GM-1518 Carryout Automatic Portable Satellite TV Antenna that I just received. The antenna comes with 50' power and coax cables. I also purchased the optional tripod and AC-12VDC adapter (that I may not need). It took a few minutes to assemble the tripod and attach the antenna to the tripod mounting plate. The rest of the installation was to connect the power and coax cables. The rest was a snap. I powered on the TV and Sat receiver and plugged the antenna into 12VDC. After about a minute of searching, the TV picture appeared. This antenna is replacing a roof-mounted "manual" antenna. After an hour of cranking the old manual rooftop antenna, it could not find a satelite. That was the last straw. This new antenna is not designed for permanent mounting and it must be stationary to work. Work it does!!!
