12 Volt tv install

Hello, I installed a 22" Skyworth 12 volt/110 ac tv a couple of weeks ago in my rv. It came with 2 wires. A wire for 110 and a seperate wire for 12 volt. My question is can I run the rv using the 12 volt wire only? The way I figure it is when the rv is unpluged and im using the house batterys it will run on 12 volt and when the rv is plugged in, the converter is powering the house batterys so im not draining the batterys. So there is no need for the 110/ac wire. Is this correct? Or should I use the 12 volt wire for the 12 volt and the ac wire for when the rv is plugged in? Thanks for your advise, Marcdohc

You are right, you can just use the 12 vdc cable and let the converter power it. One problem may be the quality of the 12 vdc from the converter, some of them have noisy power that makes lines and distortion on the TV.
