A USB tether will be more reliable than a wifi link. Should be faster too. Don't remember the setup, but I know you need to use your own (Google or whoever) dns in the router setup.

I don't need a router,I just need a way to connect my Wilson trucker antenna to it.

That's the route I took too. Seems like too much drama trying to connect the Mobley to a router.

Has anyone tried one of these?
I have one on order. I'll let you know what it turns out to be.

Put the SIM from the Mobley into a Netgear 815S cellular hotspot. I bought a used one via eBay for $35 landed. Has two MIMO external antenna connectors. Plus you need the appropriate cable adapter.

Apparently if you open the Mobley there is an antenna connection inside.

Is the Connected Car Unlimited Data Plan transferable?

I don't think this thread is going to stay up very long, but if you haven't already done so, I would suggest you watch the video in the link you posted, particularly this part on the requirements of the Acceptor of the transfer:

Selects from currently offered plans/features

The Mobley fully unlimited connected car data plan is not currently available, and hasn't been for a quite some time.

IMHO there is no way the original plan is transferable.

Does anyone/everyone find they have to reboot the Mobley every day or two as it loses data connection? I have mind hooked up to an outlet timer so it just shuts it off every night for 15 min, and that seems to cure the issue.

Those with the Netgear 815S - does it require periodic reboots? It allows 15 connections vs 5 for the Mobley. I'm tempted to try it if it solved the data connection problem.

You can go into the settings in the Mobley setup webpage and set it to never time out. That will solve your problem. If you still want a Netgear 815 send me a PM, I have one for sale cheap. It works beautifully but I am concerned that when ATT sees the sim is not being used in a Mobley they may cancel the account, and I am not willing to take that chance.
