2004 Southwind 12V fuse for TV?

All,

Located in the bedroom is the 12 volt fuse panel one of which has a fuse in the slot marked - TV.
What is this for? My TV's are 120V and I do not have an inverter anywhere that I am aware of. Plus, no other plug for 12V around the TV cabinet.

Ideas?

Some older RV's came with 12 VDC TV's. The 120VAC model that you have may have been an option, or a previous owner may have swapped it out.

Is there a different plug to use for 12V? I have never seen a 12 V TV, so I have no idea. I actually like the 12V TV option because I boon-dock many times without electrical hook up and don't like running the generator just to watch TV.

I've never seen a 12 Volt TV either!

Although the TV in the bedroom was 110 volts, My 1999 Southwind also has a cigarette lighter plug back there.

I'm guessing the 12 volt plug was maybe if you wanted to get a small inverter to run the TV on...

I had a 12v tv in 1974. And a color one in 1983. Both Sony.
They have existed and still do

I thought I would have a dedicated 12V plug or outlet of some sort in the cabinet area where the 120V is now for the tv.
There are obviously many 12 volt fuses in the panel marked for lighting, accessories and the like. With one marked specifically for TV you would think the dedicated 12V outlet would be right where the TV goes.

On my 99 Southwind, it is. The 12 volt outlet (Cigarette plug) is right behind the TV in the bedroom.

On my 2000 Southwind, the AC cord and DC cords are removable on the TV. I have the DC cord hooked up and plugged into the cigarette plug.

I did have to use a twisty to secure the male into the outlet because over time the male plug would push itself out and open circuit.

I'm not using any inverter for power just what's normally wired from the factory.
