Is anybody using the onboard navigation systems on the 2011 Chevy or GMC?

I was wondering if there is a way of imputing a destination such as a campground, when they supply you with GPS coordinates, and then have the system plot your way?

Thanks

I have a 2005 GMC ENVOY with the factory GPS. The system does not allow GPS coordinates for destination input. However, it does allow for telephone number input. I like the telephone number input. It get a hit about 90% of the time. For the 10% I use name or address.

I do not know if the 2011's are the same. A trip to the dealer may be your best choice.

I don't have the GM system, but I was able to do the following on a Garmin that wouldn't allow direct entry of GPS coordinates for a destination.

1. Establish a waypoint/POI. Location doesn't matter.

2. Name the waypoint/POI if desired.

3. Edit the waypoint/POI. At this step, the Garmin would open up latitude and longitude as editable fields. Enter the desired GPS coordinates here.

4. Save the edited waypoint/POI.

5. Use the edited waypoint/POI as a destination.

You might try this and see if it works.
