Added Sirius To My Sat Ready Head Unit

My coach came from the factory with a Jensen JRV212TB I phoned the the company who supplies these units to the RV manufactures and spoke with customer service. I had two options: 1) Install the SCC1 tuner (but this is no longer produced and expensive via Ebay for a used one OR 2) Purchase a SCVDOC1 docking station and the Sirius Stratus 7 controller. All components were purchased from Crutchfield with FREE shipping. When the SCVDOC1 is plugged into the back the Jensen it will use the Stratus 7 as a slave unit thus I will be able to control the Sat radio thru the original head unit. I will be able to tuck these components under the dash and be clutter free!

Check that out real close before you commit. We have a Stratus 7 plugged into the dash radio and have to use it to tune the Sirius stations. It plays through all the speakers anywhere in the RV, but if I hide it I get nothing. Could be your radio is different.

Using the SCVDOC1 docking station (plugs into the Sat connector on the back of dash radio) will allow me to control the Stratus 7 thru the dash radio.

** Disclaimer: So I'm told by Jensen RV Direct - Shop Premium Audio & Video RV Electronics They also post on this forum too.

I think you may just have your Stratus 7 connected directly to the dash system correct? All this work just to pay to listen to the radio??

If it'll work the way you want it to, great.

When you RV in the places we like to go to, satellite is the only option.

What is the part you need? I pulled the Sirius interface out of my coach when the head unit stopped working. I still have it somewhere. Let me know the model numbers and i'll look and see if it is what you need.
