Airport Express - creating network from campground WiFi??
I've got a couple of Apple Airport Express units sitting around no longer in use. We leave next week on a 2 week trip after we pick up our new TT. I can work remotely if I have internet, and with the kids out of school for the summer, I plan to, so we can at least go places. Eventually I'm going to get a WiFi Ranger Pro. Until then, I was wondering if there was a way to have the Airport Express grab the campground Wifi, and create our own network, so only one device had to connect to the CG (the Airport), and the other devices remember the Airport. Not sure if this is possible.

Airport Express - creating network from campground WiFi??
I don't know the specific answer to your question, but I will tell you that over 90% of campgrounds' wifi that I have seen are connected to extremely slow to virtually unusable internet. I would not want to depend on it if my job was dependent on good internet connections (and mine was for many, many years). You would probably be better served by good cellular data service from Verizon or AT&T. I use both.

Yes, my company pays for the unlimited data on my AT&T tethering plan. But I'm sure I'll be in plenty of areas where that is crap or non-existent. They used to give me a Verizon MiFi also, BI they turned those off and forced everyone to a smartphone tethering plan. The CG Wifi more for backup, and getting any other devices on it

While the apple airport express can be used to extend a WiFi network, I'm pretty sure it can only do so in conjunction with another apple airport.
Fir a lower cost alternative to the wifi Ranger products check out the Davit Bott solution using low cost Ubiquity hardware. Also similar is the low cost Camp Pro from Alpha - it's easy to setup as it uses USB interconnect instead of a IP link. I have used both with good results.

I ended up purchasing the Ubiquiti Nanostation M2, and the router, as Amazon can get it here before our trip. So, I'll give that a shot. Worst case, if no luck, I can return and go with the Wifi Ranger Pro. Thanks again for the info!

We have this Ubiquity set up but rarely use it. Park Wi-Fi is usually so poor our Sprint LTE phones work better. We hot spot one of them.

Follow the David Bott setup video (if you have not seen it, search here for a thread) you should have success. The Alpha Camp Pro is an easy to setup option, as I mentioned.
As others have commented, CG wifi is often marginal in capacity and a booster will not improve.
A cellular hot spot is often a better way to go. See the recent threads regarding the Mobley device with $20/month unlimited service from at&t.
