ALFA Camp Pro or WiFi Ranger EliteAC

Been looking at this for a while now and cant seem to find any info to drive me one way or the other. My wife will need to stay connected for work as much as possible on a extended trip out west we have planned for this year. Can anyone help with differentiating between the two since the prices are vastly different?

User interface, faster local network with 802.11ac, technical support...

I have used the alpha camp pro. It was easy to setup and provided basic features and connectivity Could not maintain a reliable wan connection. But I think it was defective radio.

Between the two, if the features provide for your need I would give the alpha camp pro a try. Buy from someone with good return policy so if it dies not work out.

You asked about WiFi, but to increase you odds of staying connected, also look into a cellular data plan. Verizon/ATT seem to still provide the best overall coverage.

We've found that Verizon is our Go To, but our ATT coverage has improved to be very close to Verizon in the areas in the West that we travel. We too have obligations where having connectivity is important, so we have many different tools in our internet connecting tool box.

-WiFi Ranger Elite AC with Flat mount antennas. And GOac.
-AT&T Mobley Connect Car device (UDP)
-AT&T Jetpack Unite Explore
-AT&T iPhone 7 with Hotspot (The Unite Explore and iPhone 7 share 40GB of data.)
-Verizon Samsung S6 wit Hotspot and Grand Fathered UDP
-Maximum Signal Max Amp cellular booster
-WeBoost Sleek
-Mobile Mark LTM MIMO antenna, to feed the Jetpack

We also have other Hotspots for both Verizon and Millicom's T-Mobile data plans, that we can activate as needed.

If this is not going to be a full time usage, look into pay as you go data plans options too.

The links provided to you by TechWriter will give you info on those two WiFi devices. Also suggest you join RVMOBILEINTERNET.COM as the Member's content is quite extensive. From full geek over the top info, back down to the high level overview of basics...

Best of luck to you,
Smitty
