Alternative to Verizon card

Hi all,
i've used the verizon wifi card for years. Till lately i've been happy with the service...anyone know of a comparable service? cheaper or more data for same $50?? Same coverage area.

Doesn't really exist. Sprint offers more, for cheaper, but their coverage is nowhere near Verizon's coverage! You gotta pay for coverage, no way around it...

I use to respond to hurricanes with a FEMA USAR team (first in after the storm) and found that Verizon was always the first to come back up with service and in 5 yrs on the road full time have found very few spots where verizon didn't work and other providers did. We also upgraded to they're new 4G/3G jet pack and things have improved by about a factor a of 10.

Can you hook your card up to a router? Is it three G or 4G? Do you have unlimited data/gigabytes? If you upgrade you may lose your old data plan. And, have to sign up for a new 2 year contract. And, pay more. 4G is much faster. 5G might be coming to big cities. I guess it depends on what you want.
