I know this topic has probably been discussed but I was unable to find it. I have Verizon cell and broadband service. I have an antenna on the roof. I would like to find a way to amplify both my cell phones and broadband connection (USB727). Is there a way that I can do this? I will need a list of equipment and some directions on how to set it up. At a later date I would like to be able to set up a wirelss printer too. Can someone help me out?

Yes there is. I use a Wilson wireless amp and indoor antenna. I have a external antenna on my broad band card that I attached to the interior antenna coming from the wilson amp. I'd post a link to their website but that seems to be against the rules here. "No promoting" as it was put to me. If you do a search for "Wilson wireless amp" on the web you'll find it. You can also call me at 928-830-2248. No rules in me not telling you where I went on the phone.

I use the "Wilson trucker antenna" along with the "Wilson 801245 amp" and the small rectangle inside antenna........

Superb combo IMHO cuz even outside the rig the cell phone bars have increased.....

A dab pricey but instead of WI-FI which hardly works I have yet tooooo have poor service..

I couldn't agree more. I get stellar Internet and phone service almost everywhere we go. I've got about 500.00 in to my setup including my Dink dir-450 router, external broadband antenna and a Wilson wireless dual band cell phone kit.

Rick, I don't know the situation of which you are referring to so I cant address that. However, in general, we have absolutely no problem with our members suggesting a certain product or a certain website that pertains to the topic being discussed. As long as the member isn't advertising for something they have an interest in, there is nothing wrong with you providing links to sites that helps a member with their problem.
Thanks for you input on the site.

I am aware of the use of the Wilson antenna, I have one on the roof, and I could add the amplifier. What I am trying to come up with is a way where I do not have to change the connections from broadband and cell phone use. Can a wireless router and possible cell phone repeater be connected into the same amplifier/antenna set up?

No change needed. Here's the deal.
Antenna on roof feeds the wilson amp. Output of amp goes to a small panel antenna mounted in the coach. So far we've go enhanced signal for the cell phone.
Next:
I have an antenna connected to my broadband card that looks like a little tombstone, (very flat). I have it rubber banded to the inside panel antenna that came with my amp kit. I can use the phone and the internet at the same time with great results. I think I got my broad band antenna from http://3gstore.com/
and my amp kit here: http://www.powerfulsignal.com/KitsVe...-Traveler.html

Mike, With the 801245 amp which is a dual band critter (850-1900) NO changes will be necessary.

My cell phone/broadband are both digital (1900) but yet some of the workers cell phones are analog soooo they plug the power into my rig and walk around while talking.....

My provider is Sprint and they are on the AT&T side with extremely poor receptiom, I call the region the dead zone

You can forget about purchasing/wasting money on the router cuz with the setup I have your good to go.....The 801245 can/will operate with 12V or 120V but you will hafta buy the 12V power and that cost about $29.00.

The only reason I have a router is so that my wife and I can share our internet. We work from our coach and need to be on at the same time at times. I know you can share connections through computers but then both have to be on. Any way, that's why I use a router.

Ain't smart e'nuf to post a photo Mike.

I simply used a existing CB wire hole in the roof for the 12' Wilson trucker ant and pulled in in behind the upper cabinets.

The 12' length allowed me to enter into cabinet #2 where the amp was installed (120/12V)

The internal antenna wire is 10' long and took care of the somewhat 20' distance Wilson wants and that wire passed thru the closet area and sits at the top of the ceiling next to the closet door (outta site almost).

Wilson says 20' from antenna to ant is to prevent oscillation...I just did whatever they wanted and the setup is perfection.
