Anybody have suggestions on how to mount a two-foot Firestik II antenna on this? The male connector in the picture is threaded for what looks to be the female sleeve on an antenna coax.
Sorry about the picture quality. I can get up on the roof for a better shot later.

Also need a replacement for the AM-FM antenna. Preferably one of the short, rubber or epoxy coated ones that appear similar to the CB antennas.
Thanks,

Dave, if I may make a suggestion, order this M-2 kit from Firestik, about $30.00 plus shipping, and mount it right behind the windshield on the A pillar on the driver side. This is such a nice installation, no bolts or wires visible after installing, and you will be able to talk as well as good reception. That's the backbone of a CB, a good antenna system. Mount it where you have @ least 2/3rds of the antenna above the roof. Good luck,
David G.

Thanks, Dave. I'll look into that one.

Also note that you MUST use the coax cable supplied with the FireStick antenna, if it a no-ground antenna. Do not cut the lengt of the cable. They work as a system.

Update: I spoke to a tech at Monaco and he said that a plate was installed under the mount to act as a ground plane. He said that an ordinary CB antenna, connected to the existing coax on the roof-top, would work as it was originally intended.
So I bought a Firestik II and a stud mount to replace the corroded original shown here.
