Can CB antennas be used as cell phone antennas also?

Antennas are tuned for specific frequency by length and load coil if present. A improperly tuned antenna can ruin an amplifier. Only use an antenna designed specifically for your purpose.

You could use an antenna tuner (or matching circuit) to get the antenna load to match the cell phone. I do not know of anyone that makes one that would fit and work with a cell phone. Some of the ingenious type hams might be able to put one together.

Wouldn't it just be cheaper to spend 40 bucks on the right antenna?
