Anyone installed USB 4 Port outlets?

I just purchased two Magnadyne WC-USB-B 12V Wall Mount USB Charging 4 Ports 12-16V DC Input Included with Wall Plate

https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B0...?ie=UTF8&psc=1

I plan on installing them in the bedroom in each bedside table.

Since they are 12 volts I was wondering if anyone has purchased and installed this exact model and brand or one similar as to where/what is the easiest location to get a power source?

I originally thought I would wire them into an outlet on the side of the bed but missed they were 12 volt.

Thanks.

yes. i had our service shop install additional combination 120VAC/USB outlets under our laptop workstation space. don't know the mfg but they both work fine.
the upper outlet in the photo is the factory outlet, the combo outlett is the lower outlet in the photo.

I have tried replacing 110vac outlets with the Costco units, only to find that they are very deep, requiring a deep box. Looks like the plug-in kind are a better bet.

Your link doesn't work.
Look under the bed's top plywood cover - you'll probably find 12 VDC wires there you can tap into. I did on my Thor.

I installed three 12V outlets using a nearby 12v light as a source. The head of the bed reading light flickers when my CPAP (12V) comes on, but I don't read while I'm sleeping anyway.
At 110V outlets, I often use a small plug-in surge suppressor with 110 and USB outlets.

This is on my list. Am planning on using the 120v with USB. From what I've been told they are pre wired in the box and includes the converter. Sounds like an easy swap.

I installed this under my cabinet near the power control center. I sliced into the 8 AWG wires from the ZAMP controller to the battery as the power source.I used an inline fuse pigtail and removed the cigarette style power input.

It is nice having 3 12 volt port and 4 USB ports in the dinette area.

My trailer only had one 12 volt and two USB ports near the dinette. The others were on each side of the bed. They were on the ceiling in the corner near the TV and not very convent when sitting at the dinner.

I have 12 volt power adapters to power our laptops and iPad pros using USB C ports so it is useful to have the ports at the table. I also have a couple of portable 12 volt fans that we use when we don't want to bother running the air conditioning off the grid.

I'm going to change out

I did not realize when I bought these they were DC.

I think I'm going to buy AC ones as it will be much easier to tap the outlet next to the bed.

No, I have yet to get around to this project.

Ditto on using the light next to my bed. It is 12 volt so just mounted my 2 port USB directly below the light, drilled a tiny hole through the light mount and wired it in. Never have had any problems since the USB uses minimal amperage.

I installed 2 12vdc 4 port usb outlets, one in the bedroom and one in the living area. Used 12vdc because I can use them any time, don't need to be connected or on genny. They work great! Got the outlets from Amazon.

I also tapped into power from adjacent lights.

Fuse size

If I stay with the DC and wire into the light what size fuse should I use for the inline? I don't have an inline right now but it looks like I should as most have put one in.
