Just got my Razr the other day and tried using with Pdanet and it seemed to work ok. Haven't been on the road yet but was wondering if anyone has tried it on the road and how is it working for them?

I have an older Droid from Verizon,I tried to use it as hot spot ...but Verizon wanted $20.00 a month just for a few times when there is no WiFi.

I use Pda also with a tether and it works great. I had to install it on the computer first then install it from the computer to the phone in a backwards kinda of way Verizon must block it from downloading .

I am also interested. I currently have a Verizon MiFi 2200 that works extremely well, but I am looking at the new Razr and then use tethering for my internet access.

I'm typing this tethered to my Droid Incredible with PdaNet and Verizon. Works great.

I know you can tether droids and I've had older droids on Pdanet but curious to see if anyone has experience tethering with Pdanet on 4g svc with Razr.

I'm not tethering. I have a Droid Charge and pay for the mobile hotspot feature. It's a bit pricey, but there's NO internet where our FW is and I sometimes have to spend a significant amount of time online.

Unfortunately, we're in an area where there may be 3G or 1X or phone only. Depends on the time of day, day of the week, and whether you hold your mouth just right, and sometimes you get good signal on one Charge but not the other and they're sitting side by side.

We have the Wilson cell phone signal booster and an omnidirectional antenna on the shed over the FW and that's helped.

If you have Verizon 3G signal consistently, you'll probably be happy. At home, where there's 4G LTE signal, my internet speeds are faster than my dedicated Cox cable line.

Look for an app called Free Tether.....

Whoops, looks like big brother is shutting down the free tethering...the hacks need to get busy and find a way around the money grabbers.
