And how do you like it.
I have a Moto DX and VZ data plan and before I get this I was wondering what you think of it and how is the coverage in different areas of the country.
thanks
mike

Been using PDAnet for years on Palm and then Windows Mobil. Just recently upgraded to an EVO and purchased PDAnet for Android. Works slick and fast. Its a very mature product and very stable. Was VERY impressed with speed when the EVO had a 4G connection. It was considerably faster service than Comcast cable internet we had at the time.
Anyway, PDAnet is a great solution for internet service while on the road. On Verizon, just be sure not to go over the 5GB monthly data limit.

Thanks for reply- also do you have Verizon service.
I upgraded to a Droid X and have been with Verizon for years . I think along with this learning curve on this phone(1st smarter than me phone) I should be good to go.
I always go to My Verizon to keep tabs on usage.
Only thing I will use it for are pay bills on line, surf net.

I am with Sprint, not Verizon. My plan is unlimited so do not worry about usage. Use it on the EVO all the time, teatherd to the laptop when we travel. Works great for us and with the roaming agreements, get full use of Sprint and Verizon (and other) networks as we travel. No 4G coverage on Verizon though but better than nothing where Sprint does not have service.

We tried both pda and easy tether. PDA has worked better for us.

We have the LG-VN250 phone on the Verizon network. Can anyone tell us if we can use it to tether between it and our laptop using pda.net? Would it use the minutes or does it require a data plan?
Any advice on precatuions or "gatch ya" stuff? We have the older Americas Choice Plan. The salesman suggested we keep it rather than change to the National Plan.

No, PdaNet won't help you with that phone. PdaNet works with phones that have their own data plans, like smartphones, Blackberries, etc.
If you keep your America's Choice voice plan, you just may be able to tether that phone to your computer and get data access for minutes of use. If you switch to the Nationwide voice plan, you will not. The VN250 is a 1xRTT device, not EVDO, so Internet access will be very slow if it works at all.
You can get help doing this at the InternetByCellPhone forum on Yahoo.

I've been using PDAnet with my iPhone and laptop for more than a year now and love it. As long as I'm in a area that has sufficient AT&T coverage.

I just started using PDAnet with my HTC Tilt 2 on AT&T. Actually still on the free trial but it is working well so am planning on keeping it. I have been visiting family the last few weeks and connecting with their VZ dsl and the PDAnet is faster here. Today I had several sports windows running and tweetdeck on my 5 yo laptop and all ran great. I still was receiving texts and phone calls too. It's a winner in IMHO.
