Apple TV through Dish receiver

I'm still trying to watch Apple TV on the outside TV. I can't find a HDMI cable that is already in place. We do have a Dish Network receiver that I can get to the outside TV and it has a HDMI port in the back.

Does anyone know if I could route the Apple TV through that port?

No, the HDMI port in the back is for output to the TV. If you want to use the Apple TV, just add a HDMI A/B switch in the line to the outside TV.

It looks to me like they are using a RCA cable to connect the Dish receiver to the system. So an RCA/HDMI splitter may do the trick. Thank you.

Ours runs through a A/V receiver. Pricey then a A/B switch but you would get 4 inputs.

We have one of those, maybe I need to get to the back of the unit and see what's there.

Goggle the A/V receiver model number so you know before exploring what u have. It might be all analog.
