States where this can be found are Missouri, Kansas, Michigan, Indiana, Ohio, Western PA, and Upstate New York.

With all due respect this is an outdated article posted by Technomadia when information about this plan was very limited.

Since then multiple people I know of, including myself, have been able to sign up for this plan with addresses in South Dakota and parts of Texas. Furthermore, the comments about the use of the device outside the approved areas were based purely on speculation at the time they were written and so far, to my knowledge, no one has experienced any issues regardless of where the device is physically located.

There are still people having issues signing up though. There are options.
