Backup cell phone pay as you go recommendations

Hi,

My wife and I have Verizon for cell phones as that's all that works at our house).

I would like to purchase a pay as you go phones
to leave in the coach for emergencies for as cheap running costs as possible.

Any recommendations?

Thanks,

UD-

My wife and I have TracFones as our “daily” phones. We’ve been customers for ten years or so. Coverage had been OK; can’t get any outside of the U.S., though.

I have an AT&T plan. $0.10 a minute, pre paid @ $25 a quarter. $100 a year+Tax.

$27.96/quarter, $9.32 Mo. I use a cheap ZTE Flip Phone. Been using it for awhile, have over $170 credit.

Works Great

I recently transferred my landline to t-mobile. I’m using an old mobile phone and paying $3/month. I paid $10 to have the SIM card mailed to me.
