Exactly! How stupid is that? One poster did something stupid years ago and now the rest of us remain in the penalty box.
Oh well.........

Thanks everyone!
Thanks for all the suggestions. I will look into getting the Trailer Life as it sounds like what I need.

I am with Bill: Rand McNally's TripMaker is THE BEST.
I really cannot figure out why they stopped to make it!?!
I still use my 1988 version and while having tried many other software - and having bought DELORME - TripMaker remains the best one I've used
It is so simple, easy to use, and highly functional!

Did they actually make a PC that would fit in an RV in 1988???

Not sure why PDQ is using a 1988 version, the last disk I was able to get was back in 2002.

Seem like their should be one software or website that does it all....we used to use Good Sams trip planner then they changed it and its terrible....surely there is a programmer in the crowd that could make some extra cash if they would develope trip planning software that included parks, diesel stops, mileage points of interest....I would buy it.....

I just used the Trailer Life 2010 software on a 9000 mile trip. I found it extremely slow, cumbersome and difficult to use. It is frequently wrong in its calculations (ie, days end location), and not intuitive to use. Hope the 2011 version is better.

Streets and trips can be customized as in previous postings for time of start and stop. You also can have it take prefered routes by going to more options and choosing the road preferences. I always use a high preference for the Interstate when using the RV. I also like the fact that it adds the data for highway construction onto the routing data. I also like the fact that it can compute fuel costs which you modify for current fuel price per gallon and fuel consumption.

I need trip planning software that shows the dates of my travels. With Trip Maker I can see that I left Las Vegas on Jan 7th and the date of each past and future stop. Everything else we have found will just keep a running log of how many days have passed (Day 235) instead of the actual date. If I know that I need to be in St. Louis, MO for the 4th of July it's much easier to plan my stops days, weeks or months in advance and know that my timing will be right. Hard hard is if for someone else to come up with the great feature. At the end of the year I also have a complete record of that years travels with stopover dates and times and miles.
