My DW and I both have cell phones and when traveling in the RV, we use the speaker phone options to talk to the kids and grand kids. The speaker phone on the cellphone don't work great so we have been looking for a better option. I think we have found it with the AT&T Connect to Cell phone system. It comes with a base unit and up to 4 additional hand sets with chargers. There is no need for a land-line and it will connect via blue tooth with up to four (4) cell phones. We purchased this unit at Walmart but they are also carried at Bestbuy. Panasonic makes a similar setup. When you do have a land line available it will also provide an answering system. Sound quality is excellent and you can join an existing conversation from any extension. I have been on a call while walking around the outside of the RV with no problems. As we have eliminated our land line at home we with use this at the house when we get back.

Good to know. Cell phone speakers leave a lot to be desired. We could hardly hear the one on our previous phone. The one on our new cell phone is louder, but very tinny-sounding.

There are a number of cordless phone systems that will link to your cellphone via Bluetooth. The Panasonic model(s) work really well (7644M & 7645). You might want to Google err... search... "Link to Cell Cordless Phones".

Just another option without adding to your monthly cell plan

We have a similar system by GE. It works well if used according to instructions. However; the DW keeps using her cell phone to call out while it is synced to the GE unit instead of using one of the cordless handsets. When she does this the system goes crazy and the cordless handsets start ringing and then it is all my fault. gotta laugh

We have a Verizon home phone that works with any regular type phone, only $9.99 per month but we also have Verizon cell phones. When we leave home, we just forward the home phone to one of the cells.

I have a Vtech system at home, can add up to 8 handsets. does the landline and two cells. with voicemail if I want it.
Also have a one handset, Motorola unit inthe rig. I have a Boston Amplifier, booster, and thether the cell to the laptop for internet. I keep the internet up, the signal is high, with the booster, and I don't have to unhook anything to take a call on the cordless handset. works like a charm, not to mention the range on the Motorola is stellar.
Only problem is, when I decide to take a ride with someone, say, into town for something, I forget tho take the darn Cell with me. go figure.
