Many options (steering wheel mount, dash mount, stand alone, FM to radio, hardwired to radio, built into radio etc.) and many brands. Cab acoustic environment is so different from cars with big space and high noise levels from road and engine that I figure my car/truck hands free equipment experiance is just about worthless. Already wasted a few bucks with a standalone version-not nearly enough vol. What works good for you?

I like my garmin 1490t nuvi as it works nicely and has a large number pad.

Cobra has a bluetooth out for one of their cb radios that might also be good in a noisy environment but I have no idea if it works well or not.

I turn the phone OFF, I know how to get my messages while stopped.

Agree - probably the best and cheapest option, but I tried that years ago and with hearing aid in both ears I could not hear well. Maybe time try again.

I drive. I let the wife do all the talking, even on the phone.

LOL now the question is do you listen

I rarely use the phone myself. I have a 1000 minute t-mobile card that lasts me the year and usually with some leftover. Internet is a different story however as I work out of my laptop on the road.
