Having a great adventure in our TT going down 101. Being novice owners, we have been at KOA's the whole trip and can't figure out why our cable doesnt work. Do we need some kind of box for this thing or what?
Is Satellite the way to go or what?!!

You probably need to make sure that your connection is good (and that you have one) and a VOM is your friend. If you have a connection to your outside plug then you need to be talking with the KOA, there appears to be nothing on their web site.

Go into the menu section on the TV and select Cable rather than Off Air for the signal source first. Then if you have a selector box, be sure it is set for the cable signal

I would also go to "channel search" on your menu and let it run thru the channels in your area. That might help.

Wouldn't that be for just over-the-air TV? I didn't think it applied to cable, but it's been so long since we've hooked up to cable at and RV park, that I don't remember what we had to do (this was WAY before digital or HD TV).

Linda with my old Samsung TV that came in the coach I had to do a search on both OTA and cable.
I have not used the new 32 inch LCD Samsung on cable so don't know about it.

Somewhere in your rig is a wall plate or a switch box.. If it's a wall plate is will often be near the MAIN television (But not always) it will have a switch, a 12 volt outlet, an antenna connection and a LED light.
If the light is on the cable won't work.. Turn the switch off (May be a button or slider) if the fuse is blown the light won't come one but the switch still works
If it's a box of many buttons, push the proper button
IF you are NOT the original owner then the Prior Owner may have modified the rig to use the park cable line for Sat TV.. This is not the way to do it, but it is how both Winegard recommends and many do.
You will have to un-modify.. This involves opening said wall plate.
Beyond that find a member who is handy with wire tracing.. I can do it if you are in Upstate South Carolina.
