Campsite Locator Apps
The first that came up on my App Store search was "AllStays" for $9.99. Recommendations?

I use the free Allstays and RV Parky. Both have good and not so good points. I plan my trips ahead and usually use RVParkreviews and Good Sam trip planner.

If it weren't for the AllStays app when we had to evacuate from a campground to get out of hurricane matthews path life would have been much more difficult. That $9.99 got me to a state park in Naples for $11 a night.

Allstays is well worth the money. We use it all the time when traveling.

I have AllStays and it is good for locating the campground but then use RVParkReviews to see what the campground is like. Works for areas that you are not familiar with.

GoogleMaps is free = just search with 'rv park' or 'campground' or similar term in the area you are traveling... it generally renders all types of places, sometimes even options that you didn't know where available, such as city and county parks with hookups, many times very close to/or within a town itself. When you choose one of these options you can be linked to their webpage for details, amenities, pricing, etc.
A general GoogleMaps overview will render many options, but as you zoom in closer to a specific area of interest it may pop up many other options... this is the way I've found many sites that would have never shown on other apps or web searches.
So many cities and counties have park options, but because they use their own city and county websites as the place to list them, they may not readily show through the normal 'search' within search engines and rv park apps.
of course, we are members of PassportAmerica and use their APP, many times to start our general search of an area we are interested in traveling to/through.
and, GoodSam's app is used infrequently to show parks, but we rarely use them since their pricing is typically higher than we prefer to pay, but it gives you options, especially if you are a GoodSam/CampingWorld member, and a 10% discount on regular site rates.

For me the Allstays app is my go to source. Best app I've found by far and well worth the cost. IMHO

Even the free Alllstays site is very useful. No log-in required. Allstays | Campgrounds | RV Parks
