Smile Canadian TV options in the USA

Hi gang , what is the best setup for satellite TV in your Canadian RV...? For Florida and USA.

1) use a us address and get a Direct TV card and receiver

2) use a us address and get a Dish Network card and receiver

3 use bell express view Canadian provider

Looking for a system that I can suspend when we are not in USA or using RV.

Any help would be great

Thanks
TVP

Hi,

We are using Shaw both in Canada and Arizona. Working fine in AZ and probably in Florida too. One word of caution - when the older satellites die, this will end. The new Shaw satellite only covers north of the border.

If you want Canadian Content then forget Direct or Dish...go with Shaw Direct. Expressview won't work down south. We have no problem receiving Shaw SD signals in Yuma.

We get all the same channels down south that we get at home.

Shaw allows suspension for up to 6 months, after that a reconnect fee of $25 applies. If you are already a Shaw Cable customer they give a significant discount for the satellite service.
I suspend my Shaw Cable when we go south and activate Shaw Direct. When I get home I suspend the Satellite and active the cable service.
