I installed a 28 inch flat screen TV in the center off the front cabinets with the two front cabinet doors that open and shield the TV while on. We also installed an automatic in motion Winegrad satellite system. I is very difficult for my wife to see the TV while in motion because of being to bright. I was thinking that the doors would help us and we would have this problem, but we do anyway. Does anyone have any suggestions to correct this problem? Thanks.

If the TV is in a position which the driver can also view, its illegal to have it on while driving. Maybe she could move to the bedroom while traveling if she needs to watch her favorite show.

When I am driving I can't see the TV while in motion and was aware of this law! I thought twice about not posting this question because I knew some people would not answer the question and would not help. Sorry I asked.

If you can't see the tv while you are driving try standing up to get closer to it also you will be able to use your cell phone easier and text to your hearts desire. Oh, I also forgot don't forget to glance out the front window now and then you may need to see where you are going.

The OP asked for recommendations for a solution to his problem NOT advice.

Most televisions have adjustments for brightness and contrast. You might try those. Too bad we have those that cannot answer a question without making rude comments.

Unless you can build a shroud around the area that contains the TV the light coming from the windshied and side windows will be overpowering. Even then I don't think the experience will be great. A couple of ideas... if you have a laptop run a cable from the sat reciever to the laptop. Buy a small portable and mount it where the sun is not an issue run a temporary or perm cable to it. Small tv's are cheap and you could also take it ouside.

Has she tried sunglasses, like maybe the polarized ones?
And this is not to be rude, but as Elkhart Jim stated, if the television is in a position that is viewable by the driver, in many states it is illegal to have it turned on. I don't know how that would be proven, but it is a great safety concern.
Hmm! I wonder how they get away with back-up cameras that can be on all the time? Think about it. Looking at the camera while driving is just as distracting as glancing at a television while driving. If one considers that the eyes should be off of the intended path of driving for no longer than 2 seconds, many checks in a back-up camera could exceed 4 seconds. To much time to have an accident by inattentiveness.
Stay safe, happy trails.

I imagine its because the back-up camera performs the same function as a rear view mirror. Is there something unsafe about glancing in the side mirrors while driving your rig? Of course not; its a boring view and the driver will be most unlikely to be riveted to the screen or the mirror for more than a second or two...
Of course some people never check their mirrors either; it must be for safety's sake.

That's an AMEN, RJay.
To the OP: There should be an adjustment, that you can access using the remote, to control brightness. If the brightness adjustment doesn't work you may be able to temporarily attach something like window tinting.

I second WILDTOAD's suggestion of purchasing a second small TV. I just bought a 9" 12V LCD TV with the same options as a larger unit for $129.00 and it is then possible to move the TV around for the best picture without having it viewable by the driver.
It even comes with two antennas, has a built in battery, and has a REMOTE that I can use to shut it down if the wife is not watching it!!

I apologize for suggesting you didn't know the law. I have seen several posts regarding how to wire the TV so it is on while traveling which apparently you've been able to accomplish. I believe a safer and more easily viewable tv would be in the bedroom.
I sincerely hope you will be able to get an acceptable solution to you tv viewing problem.

Try darking the rear of the coach. Shades down.
