CB connection

I have the 30" steel whip antenna on the chrome ball on the drivers side top of the coach.
The plastic threads on the connector are stripped and the ball spins.
I'm looking into a new ball mount and antenna but I don't know if this connection is a ground plane or if I need a no ground plane antenna.
Anyone know about the CB?
The radio is a cobra 75WXST

The radio has nothing to do with what you want, but you can find the ball antenna at Radio shack

CB connection

You can find ball mounts but I can't find this antenna. The problem is the coax has a separate ground braid crimped to the barrel and routed somewhere (maybe to the frame).
The barrel on the RV coax as a female connection and the ball antenna has the male connection as part of the antenna.
If I get a regular ball mount it has a lug connection which means re running the coax. I'd rather find this 30" ball antenna combo and just replace the antenna.
If I have to replace it with something else than I have to figure out if I need a no ground plane CB antenna

Jeff, the antenna unscrew from mount. Check jet.com, they have the mount you show in pictures. Just type cb ball mount. Good luck

I have bought CB and radio related stuff from these folks for years. Always good and knowledgeable service.

Now I'm finding out this may not even be my CB antenna but rather FM?

Are you able to see where other end of coax goes? Do you have a cb? Can you trace your radio cable? Is the there another antenna? Hate to ask all these questions but trying to figure what you have.

CB connection

I have three antennas. This one. A straight metal 18" or so antenna that I thought was fm. And a small 10" tall black curly antenna I thought was cellular bug now I hear that one might be my cb.
I do have a cb. I intend to check continuity to see which one is which.
