CB Radio

Anyone still using one? Thinking about putting one in my Truck and wondering if one brand is better than another.

Cobra radios are the most common and can be purchased in most fuel/truck stops or internet and they work well right out of the box.
My personal choice is the Galaxy line as they offer the big analog meter.
The features you can get are all over the map and depends on what you want to do, just listen or reach out and touch someone. Look for a mic that attaches in the front if you are mounting it in a tight area.
$ 50 will get you listening, $200 will get something you can grow with. Most out of the box radios are just not much better than line of site radios and the radio is only as good as the antenna. There's some food for thought.

I have two of the Cobra 75WXST radios and they work great. They have all of the controls in the mike head with a very small control box. It includes NOAA weather radio and emergency channels.
