If you have co pilot laptop v11 if you update to windows 7 from XP it appears that it will not work as it only works on 32 bit not 64 bit systems. SO any one moved to another product or just kept the old laptop...really like tunnel and height restriction settings on it..or did you go with another program..

Yep. All it takes is a look at their newest web site to know they don't care about the CoPilot program any longer. We quit messing with it after upgrading 4 times in the past. Went with De Lorme Street Atlas 2010. I don't like it as much as CoPilot, but there was no other real choices we could find. De Lorme does not use a standard Windows program format, so things like right clicking for a menu or a standard menu bar are just not there. We'll keep looking but in the mean time De Lorme is it. We travel 25,000+ a year.

I have CoPilot 2003 version which was running on the HP computer system on my ALFA GOLD and bought the latest version ($150) and tried to install it, but the HP would not read the new disk? I guess my fault for not understand the newer up dates. My question is that it appears on my ALFA GOLD there is an antenia just for CoPilot. I wonder if other navigation systems can use the built in antenia or do I need a whole new system. Oh I was not very happy with the CoPilot customer service.

I have Microsoft Streets & Trips. I have a low clearance .est for it and once activated you can overlay an itinerary on it. It will show the low clearances on the map. I also use the on-line AITA Low Clearance web site for the most up-to-date information. My most reliable are the yellow triangular signs on the highway. My TomTom 740 live also has a low clearance POI that will alert me.

I purchased the MS&T with the gps antenna. I also bought Co-Pilot, and both antennas worked on MS&T. So if you go buy MS&T for $30, your Co-Pilot antenna should work.

Good luck

Clubmed,
An .est file is a file that is saved when you create a trip in MS&T and save it. There is a spreadsheet, put out by the Monaco Owners, that has all kinds of good links in it and one of them was an .est file with low bridges. Fortunately it was an overlay, so when you opened it up it would put all of the low bridges into MS&T. Then you could plan your itinerary, get directions, and zoom in to see where, if any, low clearances were on your route. It worked quite well. However, I purchased a new laptop when the old one went belly up and I do not have that file, or the link to the spreadsheet offered by the Monaco Owners. Maybe one of them can pop in here and give us the link again. Or, when I get home in July I'll get it off the Desktop computer.

In the meantime, if you want to pay for one, check Low Clearance GPS Data

For GPS, check the GPS Data Team for POI's.

I recently purchased Garmin's Mobile PC, https://buy.garmin.com/shop/shop.do?...484&pvID=14858, with their 20x GPS at Fry's Electronics for about $92.00. I have used Streets & Trips, MS Mappoint and others. I have only used the the new program and GPS for a few minutes but from what I see I am going to like it. I have installed it on a RVPuter I have build for my MH. I will be testing the program next week during a short trip to the Texas coast.
