Computer Sidebar problem

For the last year or two I have been unable to get the calender to show on the Sidebar of my HP laptop running Vista.
When I right-click on the Sidebar, click Add Gadgets, click on the Calender, all that appears on the Sidebar will be a blank calender (the page will be kind of a rust colored sheet with the spiral running across the top of the page). I used to be able to get one calender showing the current month and another on showing only the current day.
Any suggestions on what else I can be doing, and how I might have lost my calenders to begin with. I'm probably like I read on an e-mail, "too dumb to even be using a computer", but I do get so much excellent MH information from the Forums. Would never have survived my first diesel MH without all the advice I got from the experts.

Mine works fine, also HP with Vista. mine only shows one calendar with the ability to switch between day or month display. Gadgets have been discontinued so if you installed a custom one, you might be out of luck. Mine is version 1.1.0.0.

The only other thing our can think of is to make sure your date and tune are right.
