If you do liquid cool, it is still necessary to ventalate the basement compartment. Those BTU's gotta go somewhere. You could mount the heat exchanger to a duct to the outside and add anothe inlet grill large enough to allow makeup air to enter the compartment. I don't think you want to leave the basement door open with the servers inside all day. Could be a lot of fun. Good Luck

I have a 4TB MacPro housed in a small desk enclosure -- quickly discovered that the thermal build up (even with enclosure doors open) was too great.

So . . . cut a hole into through the RV wall into the enclosure and used a Splendide dryer vent with a two fans mounted inside the cabinet: Coolerguys PRO-Metal Series Single 120mm Cooling Kit Cabcool1201-M

One fan blows out through the dryer vent and the other blows air into the cabinet -- "push" & "pull".

In summer, they blow hot air out. In winter, I just flip the fans so they blow in.

Works like a charm.

Heat will be a problem with those two systems.

I like the idea of two exhaust fans mounted somewhere in the compartment.

One drawing air in and the other blowing hot air out.

I'm not a big fan of water cooling. Keep it simple.
