Concertone Help!

I'm new here and we are new to RVing full-time(not launched yet). I bought my 06 Serra recently and it came with a Concertone Media center 5.1 surround. I have had it parked in the back yard while I work on it. We recently had a lightening storm and had a few strikes close, no direct hit but it was close enough to trip some breakers in our house. I had the 5th wheel plugged into the house. When I checked the 5th wheel everything seems to work except the Consertone which was on at the time of the strike. It is dead as far as I can tell. I unplugged the trailer and unhooked the batteries for a day, and hooked them back but it is still dead :( I cannot find any fuses blown. Any ideas on replacement?

I know that everything has gone digital since 06 so I'm not sure what to do. Should I replace it with the same unit(if I can find one). Also do I have to replace the crank up antenna for the new digital signal??

Many thanks in advance for some thoughts

BearLethere- you don't say anything about a TV. I have had to change a lot of our audio visual stuff too. I got a digital flat screen. I have not bothered to hook it up to the 10 speaker system we have in our coach. To go digital you will need a digital TV. If you toasted your audio receiver you will need one of those too. You can get anything that works with Dolby 5.1. The antenna does not need changing.

Hi B Bob, thanks for the reply. We bought an LED TV to put in there but thank god it was still in the house in a box

Can I replace with the same Consertone or do I need to get a newer one?

BearleThere - Not having seen your rig it is hard for me to be too specific. Since you have a TV already just plug it in and hook to signal source. Source can be cable, antenna, or satellite dish. If you are happy with the speakers in the TV then you are set. That is exactly the set up my wife and I use. Speakers in TV are good enough for our 64 and 61 years young ears.

The Concert tone likely had a radio, CD player, maybe Sat radio, I don't know. Just buy something that fits in your rig and hook to existing speakers. And you can hook your new TV to the amplifier part of the new receiver you need.

Hope that helps.
