Our Outlaw has a separate line for a portable SAT antenna...check the bin under the driver's seat.
But, if there is only 1 cable input, you CAN still use it to bring the raw SAT signal to the SAT receiver...just move the inside end of the cable, from the Quest video selector box (Box of Many Buttons or BOMB) to the SAT-In jack on the SAT receiver.
It reads like your assumption about connection is correct.
The trick here is that there can be no splitters or amplifiers in this line. It will carry 12VDC to the Tailgater and the raw SAT signal will come in on the same wire.
The output from the SAT receiver will then go to the proper input on the back of the BOMB or direct connection to the TV. The SAT receiver will usually have HDMI and composite cable output...some will also have a coaxial cable. Only the HDMI is a High Definition output, so make your hook-ups based on what connections you have and how you use the SAT.
