I found this nifty kit that converts any IR remote to RF. Then you can control your DVD player in the front of the coach from the bedroom.

Bruce, I just bought one of these kits. I bought it for my old style Sony DirecTV satellite receivers. It turns out that it works on most late model RF Remote equipment, but not on the Old Sony RF electronic components. I will make anyone a really good deal on this brand new unit. Email me at: mutha_busser@yahoo.com.

Best to you - Glenn

Radio Shack also have a very good IR extender with a TX and a RX module. You use your same remote and just point it toward the TX remote and it sends the signal via RF to the RX module. It should work with any remote anywhere in your coach. I have used this for about 5 years (ever since RCA stopped selling RF receivers.
Harmony (my very favorite multi-function remote) also makes an RF version but it's a bit pricey.

My remote RF adapterfrom Solid signal works perfect so far. The nice part about this unit is that unlike most other units that require you to point the remote at a IR to RF remote transmitter, This unit puts the RF transmitter inside your remote's battery compartment. (AA or AAA remotes only). I can control my dvd player from outside as easy as the rear bedroom and it's cheap..

Glenn This unit is mainly for Infrared type remotes. If you have the old directv equipment that was RF capable already I can imagine that the extra RF signal might interfere. I am thinking of getting a second adapter for my Directv box after I found out that I can get the adapter with a different frequency.

The same thing is available from Amazon for $15 less. I use one on my DirecTV receiver.
