CW Satellite Install - Bring your own Sat?

I'm considering replacing my Tracvision dome with a Winegard Travler. The unit can be purchased from Amazon for $1152 which is a significant savings.

Will CW install this new in the box unit if you didn't buy it from them?

I would think Yes. (call them for a price to install) I got my Dish Winegard Travler 1000 from CW and had a RV shop that does this all the time install mine. It is a sweet setup, just push one button and you are good to go.

Generally most Camping World stores will not install parts that they sell if you purchased them somewhere else.

Ok...well I will call both a CW in Burlington WA and also the one in Wilsonville OR to see how they feel about it.

I'll be at an RV Park in Bend OR during the first week in June for several days while I get Dave Root to fix some fogged windows so it would also be an option if there was a mobile RV guy who could come by there and do the install. From what I understand it can be pretty straightforward especially since there's already a hole there with the Tracvision KVH dome on top for now.

If you can physically get the 50# Traveller on the roof, the rest is very easy if the coax is there although you do have to run the power cable from the control box. If you are handy, it is not a difficult DIY job. CW also installs anything you purchase there for $39 so be sure to compare apples to apples if you purchase from Amazon.

Hrmmm...thanks, if I go that route I may give them a call and ask if they'd do a mobile job at the RV Park while I'm stuck there..
