The Datron dishes were designed to be used with receivers that had low speed data ports. All those receivers are now obsolete and no modern receiver has such a port. The dish can be used in a semi automatic mode, but IMHO it is not worth spending the time to work with something this far out of date.

These Direct Tv receivers are still available on line. I bought one about a year ago, $60.00 plus or minus, can't remember. Basic receivers only, no high definition or DVR. Of course no high definition with any dome. Darton are good units, might be worth a look before replacing, and cheaper!
