This post is to help Bushman.

Insert the jump stick in a USB port.

Right click your Windows start button (lower left hand corner of your screen)

Select Explore and your drive will appear on the left hand side of your screen.

Double click the drive and your files will be displayed on the right hand side of your screen.

Click to highlight the file you wish to be deleted. Right click on that selected file and click delete.

This information was provided to me by Amy (my IT guy and wife) I have no clue what I've just provided here. I DO wish there was a manual hand clutch like my old John Deere B but there ain't.

You folks that know a better way please chime in.

Bushman, you're welcome. Glad she was able to help. I love the internet but I have no clue how I got here.

Brad, keep up the great thread. I really enjoy following along.

Why do you have to have a "clean" flash drive? The only reason I can think of is that you do not have enough free space on the flash drive to download the data or someone not familiar with the technology told you the wrong thing. You can add and delete files on a flash drive just like you can on a hard drive.
