Just wondering if anyone has completed a mod of upgrading their entertainment unit. Two years ago swapped old 20" Sony Barbell that was called a TV and switched it with a 32" Samsung HD LCD. Awesome picture but now the DVD/Stereo combo is on the way out. Has anyone updated their system with a separate Receiver and added a Blue ray? Will something like this draw too many amps on the system? I would like to keep using the built in surround sound thus wanting to use more than just a blue ray as the HDMI would only play on the TV speakers...Comments or thoughts would be appreciated.

Looking for tunes

In my last RV, I installed a 32" Toshiba LCD up front, a Yamaha RX-V661 AV receiver, and a Sony Blu-Ray unit. Also added a 5.1 speaker set with a powered subwoofer.

All of these drew down the batteries pretty fast when I wasn't hooked up to electric.

I have yet to upgrade my current RV, but I'm thinking smaller -- like the Samsung HTC6600:
Samsung HT-C6600 3D Blu-ray Disc™ home theater system with built-in Wi-Fi® at Crutchfield.com

It's an integrated unit -- 3D BluRay + Amp + FM receiver. Plus, it has 2 HDMI inputs. It comes with a full, 5.1 speaker set.
