DHS QSurround is finally gone!!

I put in new LCD TV's in the front and in the bedroom a couple of years back.
The front TV was running the audio thru the QSurround. We always had big problems understanding the dialogue because the QSurround is not true Surround. Too much background stuff.
So, I broke down and picked up a Marantz AV receiver. I used all seven of the original QSurround speakers - five plus two subwoofers. The difference was truly amazing. Now the dialogue comes from the front center speaker and these old ears can get every word.
Also lots of fringe benefits with a new receiver. The Marantz connects to my on board network for Internet Radio when on campground Wifi. ChromeCast on one HDMI input for streaming Netflix. Bluetooth for Iphone music.
Wiring was a little bit of a pain. Had to add a small power amp where the QSurround was installed to drive the subwoofer and also run new speaker wires up to the Marantz. With the power savings on the new TV's, my Inverter should support the extra draw of the Marantz.
So, if you have a hard time understanding the TV dialogue, get a true surround sound system. You'll be amazed at the difference.
