Well, I finally got around to installing my digital converters today. Acutally discovered many more channels than I could previously get on the batwing.

On my rear TV, there is only one coax coming to the TV enclosure. I have a Winegard A-V switch box in the front. I connected the coax to the converter input and a short coax from the converter (RF out) to the TV and, using the A-V switch, was able to get either antenna signal or a signal from the Direct TV receiver in the front of the coach. As long as I had the converter switched off, the DTV signal seems to pass thru the converter to the TV. That surprised me. I was thinking I would need to use a splitter but apparently not.

Is this as expected? My converters are analog pass thru.

If the converter analog pass through then that is exactly how it wor

Converter OFF, DTV can get through (if that is selected up front)

Very good choic and it sounds like you hooked it up properly.. Good job

That's true unless DTV is an acronym for DirecTV, in which case the RF output from the receiver is analog.

Yeah.. :( Once upon a time the acronym was DSS, and DTV was.... DTV.
