Yes, that's what I am talking about, i just didn't know what else to call the virtual multiplexed channels. Some only have 2 digital channels, a couple of them have as many as 4. Example is WHKY in Hickory NC. It transmits on UHF Ch. 40 (626mhz - 632mhz), virtualized channel number for id is 14 since that is their historic pre-digital UHF channel number, with 4 multplexed channels. Their main channel - 14-1 is HD, the other 3 are SD. They also have an auxilary "fill in translator" located nearer Charlotte so they could force TWC/Dish/Direct to carry them as a Charlotte market local channel. Geez.. remember when you aimed your antenna at one channel and actually got that channel!?
What i am really saying about the Leaf antenna i just installed is is that with the old rabbit ear antenna, i got reasonable reception from 4 transmitting stations, and that irritating pixel freeze on one other. With the indoor Leaf amplified antenna I am getting very good reception from 14 sources and a total of about 35 or so digital channels. Of those, only 8 of those I consider that I am in their local viewing area.
And of course, many are duplicates, preaching, or selling. I really only need 1 CBS channel, unless they have different blackout rules for football!
