The old antenna that came with your mh will pick up the new digital signal. If you're saying that it won't work meaning that there is some problem with your original equipment; you should use a new digital tuned antenna. We've been using the hdms9100 by Antenna craft (radio shack) for the past two years with very acceptable results. It's only about 10 inches tall and 24 inches across. It's amplified and motorized so that you rotate the antenna with the included remote control. Awesome 12 volt amplified digital tv antenna for RV's!

Bounder... Radio Shack used to sell two kinds of 'Flying Saucer" antennas, The other one was the equal of the Winegard Roadstar and it's junk.

The one you have.. Is the good one.. This thing was originally designed and sold by RCA by the way. More years ago than I care to contemlate.. I saw a demo of it and a cut away of it. It really is a decent antenna, epically at UHF, Should be every bit as good as the JACK, perhaps better under some conditions.

As noted previously, there is no such thing as a digital antenna. when the stations moved to digital, they mostly moved into the old UHF band a a few remained in the VHF-high band.

The antenna only receives a radio frequency at a frequency near to the design center frequency. The receiver has to be designed for the analog or digital signal input.

So any old UHF antenna will receive a digital signal.

Again, you need an antenna that will receive both vhf and uhf stations.

Example: Houston, TX, KHOU, KTRK, and KUHT all broadcast on the VHF Frequncies.

KHOU is CBS, and KTRK is ABC. KUHT is PBS. So if you don't need CBS, ABC, or PBS when visiting our area, you only need a UHF antenna.

So really, an antenna capable of receiving both VHF and UHF signals is needed when traversing across the U.S. if you want to receive all the digital OTA stations.

Happy trails.
