I have Direct Tv in my motorhome. I park it next to my house and I am planning to install an attached cover for the motorhome. Since the sat dish will no longer receive a signal. If I attach a dish to my house above the cover, how do I get the cable to the back of the box?

Find your "park cable" input on the outside of the rv. Find the other end inside and disconnect that from whatever it is connected to. Connect that to your receiver.

It is not the optimum but I guarantee it will work just fine or your money back. If there are in splitters in between all bets are off but I suspect it will not have one in the run.

If your RV doesn't have a park cable connection outside, or if you have a DVR that needs a hookup to a dual LNB so you can watch one channel while you record another, use flat cables like THIS to run the cable(s) through a window or along side your slide.

Customer reviews indicate the flat cables may fail when they are bent and/or pinched by the window, so running the flat cable through the rubber seal along side your slide may be a better choice.

I have installed a a simple A/B switch ahead of the cable tv termination. The A leg of the switch goes to my A/V switching box for "cable tv" and the B leg goes to another A/B switch.

The second A/B switch chooses between roof top dish and rear cable dish (B side for simplicity).

So, when using a portable dish, I have to set both A/B switches to B and it all works.

This is good only if receiving Standard Def signal and only one LNB lead from the portable dish.

If you want HD and multiple leads for a DVR the above must be modified.
