Has anyone heard of Direct TV getting ready to change satellite signals where anyone with an in-motion system (standard definition) will not be able to receive a signal while traveling? Someone mentioned this to me today and I am trying to confirm this statement. I have a Tracvision R5 system. I appreciate your assistance.

Nothing about that. The only way they could do that would be to convert all their sats over to Ka band. And I don't see any news releases or rumors to that effect.

Chief, I suspect they meant Direct TV is making it tough for in motion systems to receive High Definition TV. They may eventually go to all HD, but for now we have a choice.

Thanks for the replies. I did get a reply from Direct TV saying they were not considering any changes at this time, but they would not confirm future considerations. I appreciate your inputs.
