I have a direct tv in my MH. I have a fixed dish on the roof and a portable one. What I would like to do is to be able to switch between the two signal sources without switching the cable on the back of the receiver!

Welcome to the forum!

Including the year make and model of your coach would help you get the most accurate and creative responses. However, I would think that, if you're not talking about HD, a simple A/B switch available at any Radio Shack would do the trick.

good luck...

Rick

Most of the time you can not run the signal through anything before the receiver. But you can after. At least that is what I have run into so far. I have a switch box with tv antenna, cable etc that I can choose which signal to send to what Tv. But the dish does not work going through before the receiver... I am sure there would be a way to do it if I knew what to use.

I have a simple two in/one out slider A/B switch from RS. One in line goes to the cable that's attached to the temporary ground dish, and the other in line goes to the permanent roof dish. The single out goes to the signal in on the box. Only single LNB and no HD, but it works.

Use an A/B switch as has been suggested and HD makes no difference.
