Directv Access DVR Recordings No Satellite

Used to be able to access my "list" of recordings on the HR44 even with no satellite hooked up. Today at new campsite I am getting searching for satellite signal and it won't let me see the "list" of recorded shows.


I wonder if they changed software again? This happened in the past then they fixed it.

There was a update a couple of months ago to fix a bunch of issues. So its highly likely they killed that feature in the peocess

Could be. This is the first time in a while that I tried to access the recordings with no satellite service. It says 600 recordings in recording history but can't access any of them it says this showing is over.

just accessed mine about a week ago with no problem. Just have o wait until it says searching for sat and then press menu to get to recordings. My receiver is always connected to the internet so if there was an update, it was done. Chuck

I tried getting the List while the dish was searching for the satellite through the trees...no joy. Back to where we can connect to the satellite and list works fine. What ever change they made happened before June 1 as that is the day I pulled the Genie out and stuck it in the coach. No Internet for DirecTV when we travel so it had to happen while we were at home. I did post on their Facebook site but no response. I may change my Traveller to Dish when this trip ends in the fall, they seem to be more motorhome friendly.

I called DirecTV. They said they need more complaints from callers to create a caty before they can do anything.
